The aromatic plant macerations are distilled in traditional stills and bottled with their full aromas on a base of quadruple-distilled grain alcohol. The fourth distillation is carried out for seven days in the presence of macerated citrus fruits, providing the citrus personality and character that makes Jodhpur a top-of-the-range gin.
The aromatic phase in our products is created with the following aromatic plants, among others: angelica from Saxony, angelica from Belgium, bitter almond, coriander from Bulgaria, coriander from Morocco, cassia bark, juniper berries, lemon peel, liquorice root, orris root, orange peel, grapefruit peel and ginger.
Each of these 13 botanicals is responsible for providing the end product with notes of bitterness, freshness, sweetness, herbal aroma, sweet citrus, spices and perfume, integrated into a perfect distilled product, with a degree of alcohol that is pleasant on the palate.
JODHPUR is the second biggest city in the state of Rajasthan. It is known as the Blue City because of the colour the houses below Mehrangarh Fort are painted. It is said that blue repels the heat and the mosquitos.
Also blue, and with exotic ingredients like the city with which it shares its name, is the new JODHPUR gin.
Colour: Transparent, translucent with a sharp edge and twinkling glints in its clean and bright base.
Aroma: An aromatic distillation elegant and fine on the nose, aromatic with delicate and all-enveloping notes of wild berries, such as juniper, with slight resinous reminiscences and a subtle background of aromatic herbs. Rather sharp but very balsamic.
Flavour: Very smooth and unctuous on entering the mouth and with reminiscences of juniper berries rounded off with flavours of other aromatic herbs. A slight touch of citric resins, flavour of alcohol, with slight sting due to its high alcohol content, and very fine due to its excellent distillation.
Sensation on swallowing: In the end it is very aromatic with major, very long, balsamic reminiscences, and along aftertaste.
Suggestions-how to drink it: We recommend drinking it when making a Tom Collins or in a gin and tonic.
